Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens
Friday, August 9 at 9a
We will be harvesting produce from the Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens (MAFPG). Located in Verona, MAFPG is situated on three 1-acre garden plots which grow 100,000 pounds of fresh vegetables each year (while also participating in gleaning practices that gather an additional 50,000 pounds of food each year from area farms). The produce is donated to low-income housing units, meal programs, and the 32 food pantries across Dane County.
The event is slated to go for 2 hours, but families can participate as long as they are able depending on the weather. Directions and additional information will be provided upon sign-up!
